Placing after Gold recipient National Geographic Traveler Magazine, GTH was recognized among the best of the best with NATJA’s Silver Award for Travel Journalism Website in 2012. The following year in 2013, we received the GOLD!

Gay travel websites are all over the board these days: either dull reviews with no pizzazz, or some random dude telling us how he came back from his desert retreat with a sunburned testicle. Travel journalism must be balanced and useful for the reader: reading  through a guy’s tale of hooking up with a hunky bus driver in Shadrinsk, Russia, while interesting, may not help you plan your trip. Great travel mediums balance the alluring stories with useful information, resources and tips.

Enter Gay Travel Herald, our take on world travel as seen through a gay man’s eyes. is an online travel magazine blog featuring experiential narratives, detailed service articles, and playful quips. Our focus is the full spectrum of travel, from a gay perspective, and we strive to include content of interest to gay couples.
