Henderson Nevada, adjacent to Las Vegas, Nevada, kicks off a new cook-off competition this weekend featuring America’s top grill masters alongside country music concerts:

Henderson is getting in the boot scootin’ and barbequin’ spirit, hosting the 1st annual Cowboy BBQ. The event features the country’s best grillers, all-you-can-eat VIP Rib Village, carnival and live entertainment by several country music stars. Admission is complimentary, though some activities may require additional payment. Award-winning professional cookers are traveling to Henderson to compete in the city’s inaugural cook-off contest. From Texas to Tennessee, featured pit masters include Johnson’s Bar-B-Que, heating fans up with their legendary Thermonuclear Sauce, Porky-N-Beans, home to the famous pulled pork sandwich, and Howling Coyote Southwest BBQ, known internationally for their mouthwatering ribs.

The three-day festival also includes performances by a variety of country music artists. The Tie One On Tour, featuring Jon Pardi, Frankie Ballard and Miss Willie Brown, makes a special stop in Nevada for the Cowboy BBQ. Fans may recognize Pardi for his hit, “Missin’ You Crazy,” as well as Ballard as a competitor on Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star and Miss Willie Brown for their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Other concerts include local favorites Against the Grain, amongst others.

For all buckaroos hearing Henderson’s siren call, the message is clear: Save a horse, as you just may find your cowboy in Nevada this weekend.
