Japan’s persimmons
Persimmons shine in the Japanese afternoon sun along the Kumano Kodo route in Wakayama prefecture. A delicacy of the East and West, the fruit can be eaten fresh, dried, raw or cooked and the persimmon tree wood is used as paneling in Japanese furniture.
