A performance artist thrills onlookers by balancing large stones on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The newly upgraded Malecon boardwalk is great for strolling along the waterfront and a chance to get up and close with local artists and artisans. Visitors can find traditional painters, sketch artists, sand sculptors, and rock artists, to name a few. High flying acrobats, the voladores, add to the excitement on Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon stretching from the downtown area in front of the cathedral all the way to the Zona Romantica.
